Beautiful stunning views of the Sussex Downs surrounding this trig point. The area around this trig point was interesting, there are various paths to take and different benches to sit on, a beautiful memorial to the lady that left the land to the people - called ‘Temple of the Winds’. The views are quite stunning.

Some chunks missing from one of the top edges just about tips this into the Slightly Damaged category for me. Once white painted, this pillar enjoys a decent view, if not the spectacular one it might have had if it were sited a little nearer the edge. It's easily reached from the path that runs from where Fernden Lane and Quell Lane meet; the walk up is about half a mile or so through a beautiful steep-sided woodland path.

vgc, metal cap, deep letters. Open mixed woodland. Poorly defined summit. From main track, a wide track heads W; in 100m a narrow track heads N to trig. I seem to recall my first visit, for the Marilyn summit, was by moonlight, and I went straight to the summit, more than I can say for this daylight visit :-(

Located in woodland on the highest point in West Sussex. Rather hazy during my visit, but the views are generally obstructed by trees. Notices around the area state that the National Trust is undertaking a programme of tree clearance in order to restore some of the heathland and open up the views. So perhaps the views from the trig will improve in the future.

This pillar marks West Sussex's highest point, and so I was hoping that there would be some good views. In this I was disappointed as the pillar is surrounded by woodland, a short distance away from the nearest footpath. Despite the lack of views it was still worth a visit, and I enjoyed a tanquil fifteen minute rest against the pillar.
