White painted pillar a couple of metres into a field beside a golf course. Easily accessed via dead end road and footpath from golf course along field edge. Several discarded bags of dog poo spotted - Old Milverton's litter pickers are needed here!

Pulled into side road just to west of roundabout junction off the A46, looks like it was the main road at one time. Lane parallel to footpath beside golf course heading west. After about four hundred metres bears south west into field and uphill along field boundary. Pillar visible on high ground. Reasonably clean looking white washed. A couple of metres from field edge into field. Worn path. Good views to south and west. Map shows this location as Gaveston’s Cross, maybe that’s the road junction name.

Drove in main entrance of golf course and turned left to Park by soil heap in the grounds mans area.could see trig through hedge from here. Found foot path that's leads to it.

Vgc pillar beside ROW. Came up from layby to the east of the pillar just off the main road. FB faces east-ish with all sightholes open although internally blocked. Cap present with sunken lettering. View a bit hemmed in all round.

I Drove up drive to Golf Course, then followed signs to Green Keepers. Pillar is located in next door field, a quick hop over the fence then 10 meters in to field of oil seed rape, with a convenient path through crops - Good condition.

Took the footpath in feild to the right of the tarmac road... Then around the edge of the golf course, through the hedge (kissing gate provided!) and theres the trig! Berries and apples on the way back.

Plodded along the road through the Warwickshire Golf Club before crossing behind a fence on the left hand side, past the lovely, unusual sheep. The explanatory note is still there, which is nice. The trig point was just up a small hill in the field. The view was nothing to write home about, but not unpleasant either.

Visited this one with Deego, the last of 7 visited today. We walked up the farm track, thinking it was the footpath… it isn’t but the friendly farmer at the top showed us the way. I think he thought we were with ‘the footpath people’ and had a bit of a moan about the fact that the path had been moved because the golf club couldn’t be bothered (his words) to keep the old route clear. Spotted a Little Owl in one of the trees and spent a few minutes photographing that on the way up. The trigpoint is easily accessible and in good condition. All the metalwork is in place. Good views over the surrounding countryside. I liked the sheep too, but had no idea what breed they were.

7th and last Trig of the day out with Pharisee. On the way John spotted and small owl in one of the tree's. He posed for some photos before flying off. As john said we had to ask the farmer the way because we could not see the path. Nice spot.

Short of time I took advantage of the access roads of the golf course and then hopped the fence nice views spoint by mist still nice early start for trig 200 and first of about 7 on the day

The path approach has now been diverted so you don't actually pass the sheep unless, like me, you go the wrong way! They were all inside today. This is the second time I've logged two pillars of consecutive numbers. It's all intact with the central plug about 10 yards off the path on a raised mound of earth in a crop field [presumably fodder for the sheep?]. Good views over Leamington Spa and Warwick and over the new Warwickshire Golf Club.

If you park in Leek Wootton then a nice walk can be had around the back of the golf course before getting to the trig point. I like the sheep. Quench your thirst at the Anchor Inn in Leek Wootton.
