Easy spot on concrete footing for wooden post just after the road/parking area runs out. This is a trig not a benchmark, for some odd reason several loggers here have also posted a log for it on the BMD site - shouldn't be filling up that site with trigs....

Dog poo everywhere. Fly tipping as well. Area needs a clean up. Also got the FB & bolt. Three for the price of one. Carried on for a Berntsen, an FBM, a surface block & a trig pillar today. Seven different types of feature, three new to me.

Easy to park at East end of old bridge and easy to find the rivet at base of post. Added 02-07-06: Didn't know when I was here in May that there is a Flush Bracket on the northen parapet which I have logged today on the Bench Marks website, and also found a nice cut bench mark with a 1GL bolt which is worth a look (see http://www.bench-marks.org.uk/bm15316 or http://www.bench-marks.org.uk/bm25422for more info and photographs).
