10/10 a truly outstanding location with the Black Cuillin spread out as if an amphitheatre, but the rest of the backdrop is also superb on a clear and bright day as today. The Vanessa pillar has lost its top cap but otherwise vgc. All sight holes open.

Parked in free car park near loch and went up the main track which starts over the bridge and leads to a grassy alp called coire ugigneich. From here you need to be on your game with your route finding a small trail leads NNW at about 320 degrees to a steep scree filled gully then steeper still to a rough faint zigzag trail until easing near rock towers with views opening up to clach glas a rocky corbett top. From here its easier until a bad step needs scrambling then up to the summit. Was dead lucky as the mist cleared on my arrival at the trig and what an unbelievable view it was photos can't really do it justice.Trig in vgc but the plug is missing care needed on decent a lot of loose rocks and scree completed round in four and a half hours.

vgc, cylindrical pillar, no cap or plug. Path is good these days - boggy approach last time I was here. Bagged An Stac (Yeaman) and Slat-bheinn (Graham Top) on the way up; had a bit of fun getting across from the SW top in mist (as the summit was all day) - keep a bit R of crest. Bruach na Frithe in the afternoon - also in mist.
