1 1/2" shallow domed bolt in concrete block. Measurements very useful as a good couple of inches of well matted grass covering it. Mrs G and I completely exposed the block and left it with just the stone slab as a covering. Re-measured it at 3.9m S of the closer hawthorn tree and 5.75m SW from the further hawthorn tree. Measuring from centre of the ditch was just unnecessary :-)

SU31 T382 BLOCK. Block found 4m south of hawthorne tree, 7m west from centre of ditch. 2" bolt in a large concrete block which was covered (under the grass) by a slab of stone. Surprised it was not on the highest topographic point. Again views were probably spectacular before a bank of trees grew up. View out to sea still good.
