Parked along Kirk Dl and followed the footpath up a field, over two stiles and towards a barbed wire fence. It seems that the fence has slightly changed the footpath location (compared to my OS map) meaning the stile to get over the fence is now much lower down the field. At this point we ended up walking around 3 edges of the field in order to hop over a gate to the fields where the trig was located. The trig itself, as others have mentioned, has been toppled and moved to the side of the field. For our return trip, we found a section of wooden fence which could be climbed over (marked on my route in green). This does have barbed wire, so beware/come prepared. Alternatively just walk down the field to get to the stile.

Following an eight mile hike out of Youlgrave with no trig points along its route except for the church, I spent the afternoon trigbagging, clocking up another seven miles in short hikes and an equal number of trigs including 6 of the Peak District 88 pillars. I parked on a side street and passed through an open gate to follow the walls and more open gates to the pillar. Judging by the GPS on OS maps the pillar has been moved no more than a few metres to where it is now laid next to the wall. Apart from the obvious it is in otherwise good condition and retains the original centre for the spider. Good views.

Climbed over a another stile to the right and then headed south west to the end of the field, where there is a very tall stone wall topped by barbed wire. Walked right along the line of the wall until I reached a wooded fence. Climbed over the fence, and then walked left to a gate, which I climbed over into the field where the pillar can be found along a wall on its side. It is very close to where it once stood. It has damage to the top close to the spider, and it was evidently toppled by being accidently hit by a tractor or other farm machinery. The pillar, as others have pointed out, could easily be reinstated.

With SS&MP. We parked to the NW and followed the path up the hill. once we got to the top there was a rather large bull, luckily he just stood and watched us pass. The farmer was in his tractor in the field near the trig but we just walked around the outside to the trigpoint. The bull was right in the middle of the path on the way back so we walked around him :O)

Probably best reached from the path leaving Kirk Dale on the west side. The trig can be reached without crossing any walls from this direction.

Pleasant pasture summit, but6 private. Did you know that 'Bole' refers to bowls of molten lead (lead mining area)? They built their furnace on a summit so as to get plent of draft!

Climbed a couple of walls on the way up from the footpath at SK181680. Took a nicer route down (had David on my back) to the road at about SK181674.
