As with everyone else, we parked at the road junction to the ENE of the trig, then walked the byway (muddy tractor ruts) to the trig, with the final bit being a trespass into the field. The trig is along the N side of the barbed wire fence. Cows in the fields, fields full of grass, no crops. Trig in good condition with original metal cap with raised letters (first time I've seen a metal cap with raised letters!) There were wooden sleepers strewn on the ground at the base of the trig (possibly the same ones visible in jonglew's photo from more than 2 years ago?) FB faces NE. We took our photographs quickly and got out the field sharpish because of the cows. Tip for future visitors: don't step in the cow muck!

Farmer & tractor traversing the field at regular intervals so timed my quick visit accordingly: pillar in good condition with its metal cap in place with wide raised lettering, all sight holes just about open. Back through the barbed wire fence and into the copse when I fell into a 'gardenful' of stinging nettles. My discomfort was greatly helped by the nearby sight of a pair of majestic red kites who stayed with me as I plodded back down the track.

Parked at a junction of minor roads 600m to the east of the trig; walked along a by-way on the ridge - muddy, rutted track - until a trespass into the field is required. Barbed-wire fence low and easy to negotiate, trig is located on a field boundary. Good condition and good views to be had.

This one's a bit trespassy as it's just off the byway. Fortunately, the fence was down at the point that we wanted to enter the field; unfortunately, the nettles were doing a pretty fine job of keeping us out anyway. In good condition and with lovely views. Metal plug with raised lettering.
