Parked in wide junction on Beveney Lane, then S.W along busy road to pick up footpath which connect to the Shropshire way toward a small cottage called Maxfields. Continue along path to edge of woodland then follow field boundaries to reach the trig point and the final 3 fence. Good Luck !.

Quite an easy approach from a small layby on the lane to the SE of the pillar. Walked alongside an overgrown green lane to a gate, then over into a magnificent wildflower meadow, along the hedge to the pillar. The original plug is still intact - deeply indented letters. S sighthole open, others closed. No paint. Concrete base exposed 4" all round. It's actually in an unimproved pasture field with one or two grazing sheep who showed no interest in me at all! Lovely views all round, especially W to Clee Hills. Now for a pint in 'The Eagle and Serpent'!

Parked about 800m away on very quiet side road then walked over fields, across main road and round the arable field, over the fence and to the trig. Interesting American cannon and flag on the way. Trig in good condition.
