Day 11 of 13: Anglesey to Holmfirth walk. From Buxton via the Monsal trail and the excellent Limestone Way. A wonderful, peaceful place. South lies the White Peak, North the Dark Peak. The mountains of Wales have vanished into the haze and this is the last (unbagged) trig of this year's adventure. Two days later we reached Holmfirth. We did it! 200 miles from Anglesey to Holmfirth. A special walk, and 4 more special trigs. I love this country.

Someone had kindly made the trig more useful! A seat right round the pillar, complete with view indicators. I guess some trig purists might be upset but I reckon it's a fine bit of adaptation. Access is easy, two rights of way run through the access land it's on. Approaching from the south, went over ground that looked like it'd be quagmire in winter. Ascent over rakes from the north might be a better bet if its wet. Great views and feels remote and peaceful for being a few km from Mam Tor.
