On walk from Laurencekirk to Fettercairn (to scoping consultation re Coriolis Wind Factory at Glen Dye). Field planted but farmer has left tramlines so it is easy to access trig point. Spider intact.

Walked up through the freshly harvested field with plenty of those rolls of 'shredded wheat' nearby in a typical farming autumn scene, and a combine-harvester working in the next field. This time of year always reminds me of my dear old farming Grandad working from first light to dusk during the harvest season. Pillar fine, cap remains in place with indented lettering, & one sight-hole open.
