About half a kilometre north of Chapel Brampton on the A5199 turned west along lane for Brampton Hill. Pulled over just end of lane just before farm house and out buildings. Quite impressive stables and barns although not much activity now, most look disused or for storage. Looked out for anybody to ask if it would be ok to go to the field at the end. Nobody about. At opening to field to west couldn’t see pillar. Headed south and then west around the field edge. Spotted pillar in hedge almost hidden by vegetation. Would have cleared away more of the vegetation if it was an isolated location. FB faces north into the field, other sides all covered in dense bushes. Moved some ivy from the top. Spider and cap in place. Good views to north and south, east obscured by trees.

A hint for anyone wishing to bag this pillar at the height of summer: Don't! Pillar is completely obscured by the hedge it sits in the middle of. FB is readable by scraping away the ivy, but little else of the pillar can be seen - assuming you can find it in the first place. Nearby layby is currently closed due to having a large mountain of gravel dumped in it, which is pretty unhelpful, too. Should've taken that as a hint, frankly. Leave this one till December. Only positive is a decent view.

Walked from village via Brampton Hill Farm, the farm looks empty no one around to ask. Did knock on two doors at the cottages at the back of the farm but no answers. Trimmed back the ivy a little to take photos.

An early visit so drove up track/waymarked track from east by Red House. Parked by farm at SP721667. Trig totally encased in hedge, just visible thru' north face of hedge. Would have liked to have cleared it but in the circumstances - parking and nearby vicinity of farm - had to leave it.

I stopped for the cache near the road below, with a muggle riding a horse towards me I came up to bag this first. As I got close I could hardly see it as the hedge has almost swallowed the trig point. It looked to be in good condition. PS Looks like my GPS coords are spot on :) a first for me :)

We parked in a large layby on the road between Holdenby and Church Brampton and took the bridleway to the west of the pillar. At the first fence line we headed east and eventually found the pillar in the hedge - just past the gap as previously mentioned. You can't see it at all from the south side of the hedge but from the north the FB is clearly visible. The rest of the pillar is covered in ivy. Plug with indented lettering.

Initially thought this one was a goner,as hedge line marked runing SW to NE on Explorer has been scrubbed up and a big gap in hedge where i was guessing pillar should have been. Buried deep in hedge covered in folliage.

It has original plug with slightly-indented letters. Quite white painted which is how I eventually found it! All sightholes invisible! Good views in all directions.

At the end of a long drive is a complex of farm buildings and cottages. It was unclear which house to seek permission from to go and look for the trig so having failed to get and answer at one I took a chance and went searching. The trig is well hidden in a hedge and covered in ivy in the hedge that runs west away from the most westerly houses.
