Walked up from near by Shadwell via rocky and muddy footpath. The Trig is visible from the road and sits in a hedgerow. I decided to scale the (elecrtic) fence in order to truly bag it. Typically the flush bracket was facing the opposite direction, and with horses being in the other field decided to just photograph it from behind, then riggle into the hedgerow to get a shot of the flush bracket in order to get the number - this got the horses into a bit of a gallop! So most likely trespassing as I found out the fence I had scaled was electrified on return to my patient wife waiting on the road side. However, Brandon Hill Trig Point bagged!!

Horse watching my every move, whilst bagging the Trig Point at Brandon Hill!

Log #13. (147m). Bagged while doing a 9.0km linear walk from Wikefield Farm (SE321421) along School Lane (Bridleway) through Leeds Golf Centre (Oaks) to Wike Village, then down Forge Lane and Brandon Lane (path) to traverse Wike Ridge, arriving at Brandon Crescent. The trig is accessed through a gate in the SW corner of the field opposite Brandon Lodge. The trig hides in a hedge near the middle of the 2 fields. Continued walking S to Shadwell, past Hall Farm to Bridle Path Rd, crossing Main St and then down field paths (SE339400) to cross Leeds Ring Rd and down through the gorge to Roundhay Park Lake (SE335383). Poor views and poor accessability. However the walk was excellent.

Parked in lane and climbed over gate near Brandon Cottage. Pillar is in the middle of hedge which I had to scramble through to view flush bracket. Some activity noted in local properties, all seemed rather quiet and probably too busy to bother with me. I had plenty of time to take all the photos I needed unchallenged. Field looked like it could get very boggy after a few hours of rain. Looks like I picked a good time to visit.
