Parking on wide grass verge, minor road due W of trig. RoW initally then along E side field boundary. Pillar found well ensconced into ivy & bramble hedgerow - secateurs only able to make a small dent in freeing it: saw and more time needed! Both front corners have been decimated, probably from hedgecutting, rear is OK. Original cap in place, deeply indented lettering; front sight hole sealed, unable to determine state of other 3. Rural views E & S; N & W obscured by hedgerows.

Found the nearby cache easily but really struggled to find the pillar which is buried in the hedge and overgrown with brambles and ivy between two wheat fields. Original plug with deeply indented letters. Sightholes either closed or invisible! Traces of paint. Distant agricultural views to the east.
