Thank goodness for this trig after visiting Dundry. My faith has been restored. After a pleasant drive through the country lanes from Dundry through Winford and Regil before turning left towards Chew Stoke. The road passes through an area of unfenced pasture and just before it drops through the trees park up and take a wide path on the south side of the road that heads up to a metal gate. The trig is in the field on the right, you might see it through the tress. It has a wonderful vista over Chew Valley Lake and the Mendip escarpment. Although having the tiniest backwards lean this trig is in very good condition. The best of the day, thank goodness I left it to last. Now, best get on. Roast Dinner on the table.

The pillar is sited at the top of a field grazed by sheep next to the fence to the woods of Breach Hill Common. It is leaning toward the fence (hence slightly damaged log ); has a metal plug with shallow lettering and FB BsM 3263. The pillar looks out to the southeast across Chew Valley Lake to the partially wooded foothills of the Mendips.
