There is a faint path leading directly to the TP from the road. I didn't take that as the nicely mown patch at the top of the hill looked a better bet. I was ripped to shreds by brambles, half of my clothing now hangs from bushes. I came back via the aforementioned path looking like one of the undead.

Approached by road from south west through Ubley and Nempnett Thrubwell, then east at the intersection of five roads. Pulled over after about a mile to check map, no sign of pillar so tried going on further east but lost too much height so turned around and came back uphill again. Decided to get some help as getting late in the day. Needed a bit of hunting. Onto grassy verge and uphill, trees and brambles block the way to the east. Down hill a little to south east through thinner vegetation then north east along fence boundary. At north east corner of fence could see pillar at top of open field beside the fence about 50 metres to north east. Over fence for couple of quick photographs. Good views to south east towards Chew Valley Lake. Spider and cap in place. Raised S Prefix. Possibly someone’s garden. Noted slight lean, thought it might be my photographs taken in haste.

Thank goodness for this trig after visiting Dundry. My faith has been restored. After a pleasant drive through the country lanes from Dundry through Winford and Regil before turning left towards Chew Stoke. The road passes through an area of unfenced pasture and just before it drops through the trees park up and take a wide path on the south side of the road that heads up to a metal gate. The trig is in the field on the right, you might see it through the tress. It has a wonderful vista over Chew Valley Lake and the Mendip escarpment. Although having the tiniest backwards lean this trig is in very good condition. The best of the day, thank goodness I left it to last. Now, best get on. Roast Dinner on the table.
