More stones need to be removed to expose the FB. Original cap in place. As to be expected views to the northern escarpment of the of the highest peaks in the Brecons are outstanding - and all of them covered in deep snow at the moment - a lovely view.

Parked in Heol Y Ffynnon off Cradoc Road, walked through bollards and turned into field, then straight up hill. ( A little time and effort can be saved by taking a route slightly to left of first hill in sight). Just a few sheep and young lambs in fields, a pair of red kites shadowed us all the way to the top, skylarks very much in evidence. Earthworks of ancient fort clearly visible just before pillar is reached. Pity about the mist, views from here must be outstanding on a clear day.

A well-protected pillar !
Some damage to stonework, spider looks OK.

Highly visible and easily accessible. I parked in the reclamation area to the north and just followed bridleway then walked paths to the summit. Original pillar now encased in a stone cladding so only the damaged top remains visible. Presumably there is a flush bracket somewhere behind this cladding. Super viewing location - could see for miles on a lovely spring morning.
