The site is on the edge of the barracks and I managed to find some masonry from the castle on the Covenanter's Wood side of the fence

Destroyed Nov 1963. Followed the perimeter fence of the army barracks and found what could be the old castle walls. Hard to tell. Crappy reception of gps in thick woodland didn't help. Actual location, I suspect, is inside the barracks.
