On round of Wainwrights from Winlatter Visitor Centre: Winlatter - Brown How - Graystones - Broom Fell - Lord's Seat - Barf. Only saw a couple of other walkers. Super views of clouds skidding past Skiddaw. Had a look round for block, but didn't probe. There's exposed bed-rock on summit so why a buried block?

Looked where JG's GPS indicated it would be but no luck. Not east when there is a group of people standing on top of the spot.

Hoped erosion might help but no. Poked a bit but need metal detector and spade for any chance. Great area with great views.

Rocky ground but some turf, GPS indicated approx 1m NW of old metal boundary fence post. Spent 10mins or so prodding the ground without much hope and even less success.
