This trig is located in the middle of the field but is easily accessed by walking up the tramlines from the footpath to the south. The trig itself is in good condition and still has the cap in place.

Its not in a hedgerow now. Its in the middle of a field of corn. Fortunately there were bleeding big tractor tracks where it had smashed down the crop. So I used then to get to trig. Very warm and running out of water.

Parked nr Church in Forestside N 50 54.320 W 000 55.491 and walked to the TP where I found a farmworker settling the field from his tractor. I asked for permission to cross the field and photograph the TP which he willingly gave. Seeing as the TP is in the middle of a field access during the growing season will be limited or impossible.

Parked at the end of Woodlands Lane for a pleasant walk along well-defined farm tracks, with a short trespass, across a field recently planted with broad beans, to the trig. Pillar has a fine patina of cracks with one that is more prominent. Original cap with raised lettering; 2 sight holes open; plinth is becoming exposed on front edge. Flat farmland views in all directions.

Approached this from Watergate Hanger direction. The field had recently been ploughed, so the pillar was easily seen. Luckily the clods of freshly churned earth weren't too muddily cumbersome. Raised lettering in a reasonably intact pillar.

Parked to North West by the bend in the lane then along footpaths through the woods - pillar was located in a field of 7 foot high Corn - so was a challenge finding it and would of not been possible without GPS, it was a bit like a scene From Stephen King's "Children Of The Corn":) at least it is not possible to trample crops when they are over a foot above your head! - pillar is in reasonable conditon with slight cracking and located in a small clearing in the corn. no views except corn!

Parked on the bend at Forestside, across the field (PRW) in woods, bare left along footpath and hedge row, spotted Trigg in the distance, past the nature hide on your left. Trig in good condition on it's own plot of land in the middle of the field. Nice little trig, not much to see, just fields, but a pleasant walk.
