Parked on Shay Lane where the pillar can be found in a hedge. This pillar is unusual in that the pillar can only be seen from the road. Fortunately, the flush bracket is on that side. However, had to do some gardening around the pillar in order to climb up to see the spider/ theodolite mount. Went into the field behind, but the pillar is literally buried by the hedge and can barely be seen. I was only able to find it with the help of GPS/OS maps. 6 of 15 on my 15 trig Nantwich/Whitchurch day

I struggled for a little while before seeing this one - I was in the field looking out! It would have been much easier if I had read the previous logs. I have scored this quite highly, because if you stand on the stile nearby, there are great views in most directions. The Welsh mountains were clear.

Off to Chester to see Lincoln get a win in the 91st minute so an opportunity for a couple of trigs on the way! This one was an easy catch, in a hedge on the side of a lane with the fb facing outwards. Original plug with slightly-indented lettering. A couple of small chips out of the top NE corner. Some white paint visible. E sighthole open, the others closed. Concrete base badly exposed on the NW facing side and undercut. Lovely all-round views over Cheshire and westwards towards Wales.

Another roadside, but friendly this time. Even the bracket faced the road, and your life was relatively safe, unlike the evil Shropshire Bank.Good condition and intact. On the Sandstone Trail.

Visited this Trig whilst walking the Sandstone Trail (30 mile walk from Frodsham to Whitcurch) Trig set in hedgerow at side of minor road. Appears to be in good condition but unable to see the top and rear due to position
