3rd pillar today and reached this one by walking along Moray Coastal Path from the Mains of Tannachy pillar. Easy to find , good condition, spider intact, good views,

Good condition pillar. Easily accessed up a mapped track from the recycle area in the village past the old schoolhouse (cut BM on that as well). FB faces north-ish with south-ish sighthole open only. Cap missing and no plug. Good views across the river mouth area. Nearby water tower and "stone circle" also worth a look. Edit: Recapped 13Aug2021

Parked at Barmouth recycling centre, through wall beside play park and up steps/path beside old school. Trig hundred yards further along the ridge. Extensive sea views. Easy bag.

Revisit for photographs and GPS reading. Approached from southwest. Public car park, NW side of B9015 at NJ340647. Followed mapped footpath to top. Pillar in good condition. Spider centre open. Flush bracket faces NNE, ~21°. Vented through SE sight hole. Open outlook out to sea and inland all ruined by heavy rain at time of visit. Shame about the only Garmouth NPFB (OSBMG997) being mostly drowned in cement.

Right on the public path with great views along the coast. Worth a short detour to walk a section of the old railway line over the Spey. Glorious sunny 15 degree March weather.

Log #187. Dropped the car off at the public parking area in Garmouth and followed the marked School Brae path straight to the trig. The cap is missing, which is expected with the pillar being so easily accessible. Good views over the often flooded Kingston and Spey Bay. Binn Hill easily visible to west. [ExP-153/MiP-4/Rev-2/BM-12/IS-13/Other-3]

Close to Garmouth, overlooks Spey Bay. An old converted water tower nearby. Pillar has a horizontal crack repaired so have listed condition as good. Remains of white paint. Plug missing, hole unfilled.

Visited to record FB number. The pillar was completed 22nd October 1952 costing £12.12s.5d. In 1953 this marker was computed for triangulation as tertiary station NJ45/T13 in the Elgin secondary block. The flush bracket was levelled for height in 1974. This marker was last maintained by the OS in June 1987. Walked along railway viaduct from Spey Bay.
