On my way to bag the summit, so thought I would have a prod about, nothing found, folding spade almost disappears in the ground. Nice views.

Summit area is heather grouse moor, with a covering of snow today. My GPS location was to the west of the last two of a line of butts, just across a drainage ditch. I prodded in the area but found nothing. It is probably still there. Extensive views (with binoculars) including North Wales, Isle of Man and Black Combe
