Got to this just too late for a photo yesterday having decided to move it in our mental maps by a couple of miles. Anyway a vast sprawl of neapolitan brick effect which shows it's intersection potential from snowy Mellor Moor which is next on the walk route - again managing to avoid busy routes. Stunning sunset with the steam of the tissue works and the Cage beyond.

...it's there in the distance...

An old cotton mill built in 1905 on the Macclesfield Canal, it was the last one to be built in this area. A fine building and home to Rope Race Climbing Centre. Peak and Northern Footpath Society are gifted todays, their green metal signs can be found at many path junctions in the Peak District.

The Mill tower is festooned with various Mobile Phone masts but having seen similar elsewhere, I would say that the ball is a "Vane"

Vane closer up.
