Parked in Babell. Walked up PROW which got narrow and overgrown. The trig is in a field with no access so photo taken through a barbed wire fence at a gap in the hedge. Richard for HCU3A

Thought this would be easy from ROW - however, the gaps in the hedge have a multi strand barbed wire fence followed by a 2nd of small wire mesh. The field is occupied by two fiesty thoroughbred horses. In view from only a few yards away but Safety prevailed.

The trig field is inaccessible as others have highlighted. However, the pillar is visible, so took a photograph at distance.

Pillar in farmers field with no public footpath, uncomfortable in climbing the fence especially when animals in the field. However, viewed from close by path, look in good condition, could not see bracket number.

Could not get to the trig. Surrounded by double layer of fence one of which is barbed wire. A horse in the field carrying a zebra coat makes you look twice! I circumvented the entire field with difficuly in many areas but there is no way into the field without damaging the fence and trespassing, which I wasn't prepared to do.

The trig The only place I could find to snapshot the trig was a break in the hedgerow. The trig is in the pic somewhere.

Parked near footpath sign and walked through field full of young bullocks to far corner. Over stile and trig is just to the right but behind a double barb wire fence. Climbed over in the corner but in view of the stables who own the field. Quick dash to trig and back out again. Nice trig but poor location.

I started off this days walk at Holywell and, after visiting Pen-Y- Ball trig pillar, I came here. Climbing the fence and skulking through the muddy field was quite a labour of love for what could only be described as, at best, a limited view of the surrounding hills. The second half of the day was a good bit more memorable (if unfortunately trigless) as I continued on through Caerwys and Tremeirchion. Eventually finishing off with little daylight to spare at Trefnant, where I caught my bus home.
