From Kettlewell and back via the Cote de Park Rash. Little evidence found of the mapped bridleway ENE of Tor Dyke. Easier to follow the path up to the ridge at SD998742 then along the E side of the wall. Mostly good going until nearing the top of Little Whernside. Then a case of detouring to avoid the worst of the bog. Concrete Ring easily located from CJO's description. Bailing to expose the surface with limited success. Rain holding off.

It is still there! Concrete ring with bolt found with second prod. 2 matt bolt. 30cm deep. 30.3 m due south of fence along peaty ridge. A square stone block at fence marks the right post from which to go due south.

Called on this block in passing - without any joy. I did a bit of probing at the correct cords and a couple of m either side but my waliking stick went full length into the peat/bog without meeting any obstruction at all.
