Passing by so stopped to pick this and the pillar up. Parking bay full and a funeral about to take place so ended up in the wee aerodrome car park who didn't seem to mind. Road not the best to walk along though. Easy to find thanks to previous baggers.

(1227) A short distance from TP5211. Old fence posts, and chamber is all that remains. Tank reported destroyed in the latter part of the 90s.

OS record this as 'WATER TANK DEMOLISHED 04/97'. Site in woodland approx 15 metres NW from the trig pillar. Concrete posts remaining, presumably from the compound fence, but nothing else.
