Parked in lay bye on A4110 near crest of hill heading north. The trig is only a few metres away in the adjacent field. Walk back south down the road to a kissing gate and footpath which gives access to this field.

It was pretty poorly , but looks healthier now . I had no detail brushes and ran out of brasso ! Another top coat is needed but rain stopped play I would normally get land owners consent but due to on going works , I winged it as no crops are present .

Nice easy one to find, just off the road, parking in the layby, pass through the kissing gate and take a right, follow the edge of the field and you're bound to find it.

Centre missing, Flush plate becoming buired. Parked in lay by at the vandelised phone box, walked back a few yards to the foot path, into the field then followed the field boundary round to the pillar, by the new fencing.

Parked directly opposite trig on A4110. Hopped new double wooden fence protecting recently planted hedging that fills gap in hedgerow and skirted edge of recently sown field to trig. Looking a little neglected, half buried in hedgerow and with soil etc encroaching part way up FB. Cleared a fair bit of ivy and dug out FB so fully visible, but no secateurs or folding saw on me today, so limited clearance. Pillar seems sound enough; rear sight hole open, front buried, other 2 closed; cap missing, no plug. Views S to Forest of Dean high ground, W to Credenhill, other directions obscured by field boundary hedgerows.

Took my little boy on a loop walk from Burghill to find this in a muddy field.Looks a bit sad next to hedge.Bit of a view across to Hereford, also to Credenhill wood & Hay Bluff from nearby.

Just off the A4110 and a convenient lay-by to the field. Fortunately the farmer was ploughing in the winter stubble so no difficulty about access. Pillar is intact with central plug. Unfortunately the flush bracket had got buried with decades of ploughing so I had to dig it out! Good views to the west and south. Very close to hedge.
