Parked at the junction of Back Lane and Wood House Lane then walked up the footpath passed Burnside Cottage and onto the fell with an off-piste diversion to Burn Fell trig. Then headed due north over mixed wet moorland to Baxton Fell with Alan Caine. Returned by walking ESE to join the track above Dane Hill Well where this track was followed back Wood House Lane in under 3 hours. A revisit after almost 21 years.
