Unsure why previous loggers have this as moved, it's GR is same as the OS have it in their dBase, so no evidence of a move. Either way, it's leaning a good few degrees. On a tall plinth in middle of a cropped maize field - muddy. Some minor chipping to top edges. Original cap in place, indented lettering; RHD side sight hole open, LHD side plug almost completely degraded. Extensive 360deg panorama.

Easy access through open gate to south. The sun came out so good all round views of rolling Somerset. Metal cap, shallow letters. N and S s/holes open and can be seen through from one to the other. Also leaning and on significant plinth, but otherwise good condition.

Most strange, looks as if it has dropped from the sky onto a random spot. No pigs as previously posted, just a lush green pasture.

On rise in middle of field, easy access via public footpath and across grassy field. Raised about 2 feet on brieze block base, lichen covered. All metalwork intact. Good views. Didn't occur to me that it could have been moved until I read other entries.

This trig has definitely been moved. If you look at Iainmacs photo from 2003, you can see it sits on an extra plinth which is now not there. It also looks as if it has just been dumped there, and is not level. There whole field is now just a mud bath, access to get to the organic pig fields I suspect. We came in from the road to the E.

Acces via the footpath from the east. The pigs are encroaching further into the field and there has been eartmoving activity near to the pillar. I suspect the pillar has been moved slightly as it is now just sat on the ground with no evidence of a previous hedgeline (see Iainmac's photo). Plug with indented lettering.

Pig country! I entered the field via the pig farm to the SE. the trig is on a much-reduced plinth which obviously sat in an old hedgerow that has since been uprooted. The field was also occupied by a lonely bullock who had clearly lost all his mates and was wandering around, mooing mournfully, trying to find them. he didn't like Widget much - the feeling was mutual. Don't know where "Butsons" comes from.
