Block was destroyed back in March 1979. It was behind what appears to be an electricity sub station situated behind the fence to the site on Cemetery Road. The site is now owned by Red Industries RM Limited, and is called Walleys Quarry Landfill. It has been the subject of shed loads of complaints about nasty niffs of the rotten eggs variety, due to emissions of methane gas and hydrogen sulfide. Locals have complained of having to keep their windows shut, with some even suffering from breathing problems caused by dust and the gaseous emissions, which sometimes creates what is described as a 'black haze'. Revolting place!
