Excellent condition on high Cader peak. S on the plate, even though it's a primary. Public Deserves an 8 on most days, walking in a horseshoe from the waterfall car park. They didn't put the trig on the higher of the two peaks, for some reason

The ascent of Cadair Berwyn can be best accomplished from Milltir Gerrig, the high top on the B4391 road between Llangynog and Bala. The Powys and Clwyd border crosses the road near here, and there is limited parking in an old quarry N. of the road. The ascent of Cadair Berwyn from here is a gentle uphill trudge along a well-defined footpath up a broad ridge through the heather. In good weather this would be a very pleasant easy walk was it not for the interminable mud that accompanies the entire climb.
