I was out on my bike shopping in Burton – having a coffee in Wetherspoons – idly looking at the trigpointing forum on my phone using their wifi – noticed that Teasel recommended that the android database be refreshed – after I did this I noticed that Bretby Colly No 2 had appeared as one of my nearest trigpoints and it was virtually on my way home. My granddad used to work there back in the 40’s so I decided to make a pilgrimage out of nostalgia. Surprisingly the winding house is still standing amongst much dereliction. No sign of the bolt but there is some flat concrete that may be worth exposing.
