Parked at the start of the forest track NT3899005980. Followed the forest track to the burn inline with the trig. The area around the burn offers a smoother walk with limited brash until it peters out. Thick mist and drizzle so no views.

As noted previously, the area to the south has been clearcut resulting in an awkward approach across the brash. Despite that, and a rather overcast day, the place does have a certain bleak charm. Extensive views; even more so now that the trees have been felled.

From the parking spot at the start of the forestry track. As caroleengel said, the trees to the S of the trig have been felled so there's now a panoramic view from the pillar. Rusty looking cap.

Walked up from Falnash using forestry tracks to just short of the summit and then a scramble through a tree break. Tree felling works ongoing but not apparently at weekends. Pillar on the edge of the plantation with great westerly views which may change to 360 views shortly (probably for the first time in 30 years) as the tree felling from the east is now close to the pillar.
