Parked roadside verge at the cemetery in Mindrum - 82m spot height (NT 8445 3332). Shorter from Fox Covert to N, but parking looked problematical there. Good farm road nearly all the way, then across pasture. Pillar sits just off the hill summit, on the W side; original centre cap retained, deeply indented lettering; LHD side sight hole open. Good views

The verge by the farm looked too manicured so parked by the cemetery to the NE. Followed the marked track all the way, the last bit being across a field of sheep. Even found 3 BM's on the way, one being A1 Mushrooms cut mark. His info on the Romans brought the summit alive. Very windy today making it difficult to stand on top. Had a long yarn with the shepherd on the way down. The tupping has gone well and prices at the mart aren’t bad.

1st of 2 trigs today. Retrospective log and assume access/route would have been similar to others. Very close to the Scottish Border outside the National Park. Heavy rain at times to brighten up for the second trig.

Parked on the verge at the entrance to Mindrum farm - there is room for a couple of cars there. A very pleasant walk along the track on a sunny November afternoon. Plenty of cows in the field but they were all on the far side of the hill & not bothered by our appearance. Numerous tops visible, Dirrington, Linton, Rubers Law, the Eildons, & the Cheviot are the obvious ones.

My second visit, in theory same route as previously, albeit this time we walked the whole way from Mindrum rather than drive all the way up to the field gate! We could see there were some cows in the field as we approached the TP so we contoured round the hill to avoid them - it was only when we reached the crown of the hill and the TP itself could we see just HOW many cows there were! As is usually the case, they bid us no attention at all. From Monylaws to here we recorded two consecutive FB numbers, was also our third consecutive walk to encounter deer along the route. Fine views, wish I'd noted A1Mushroom's observation of the cut mark on the gate BEFORE today's visit...might yet have to be a third trip here!

Nice start to the day, 300th trig. Parked at spot height 82 NT844333. Asked at the farm on my way through if it was ok to walk to the trig. The farmer was very nice and enthusiastic. Stopped at the gate into the trig field to speak to the game keeper about the hill. The earth works which are not on the map either side of spot height 173 are there so the Romans could monitor the track way which was purposely built with a curve at the top in that particular place to slow down incoming people. The trig sits in the middle of what would have been the Roman camp. On the right hand side of the gate going into the field there is a cut mark on the wall.

Hadn't really intended to do this one today, thought we'd do a reconnoitre of what livestock were in the field and what the track was really like, and if it was OK I'd bring the girls here for a walk. But we drove all the way up the track, and there were just some sheep in the field, and the top of the pillar can be seen from the gate...so we just did it. And that was Northumberland done! All 155 pillars in the county 'compleated'. On to new challenges I suppose...County Tops perhaps.

Parked in the entrance to the farm on the B6352. It's a long trudge up the bridleway to the trig field. Lots of cattle in the field so I kept out of their sight as much as possible by taking a long spiral approach to the pillar. Good view from the top.

Glorious day after Boxing Day downpours which has led to extensive flooding in the lower fields either side of the public footpath. On the up side, great views to the Cheviots, across the Merse to the Lammermuirs and east to the Eildons and Rubieslaw, on the down side, think I left my phone near to the pillar so will return for a second visit tomorrow.
