You would think that a concrete piller would be easy to find, well it took me over 10 minutes to locate it! totally covered by the hedge and other greenery. Damage as previousy mentioned. Not much of a view from the lay by, but if you walk a few feet along the road past the sharp bend sign then there are nice views from where a driveway joins the road.

Well, I think this is more than just slightly-damaged. One top corner is totally missing, exposing part of the spider bracket and the one side is also slightly cracked. Presumably this pillar has had an argument with a hedge cutter. Anyway, it's right by the side of a layby on the A4137 and I can imagine that in Summer it would be almost buried by foliage. As it was I almost missed it. Very squat in hedge with sightholes below soil l;evel. Original plug with deeply-indented letters. Traces of paint. If you're tall, like me, there are some good views in all directions.

Roadside, there is a handy layby northbound, the pillar being behind a chevron sign. Pillar damaged, a corner missing, probably the work of hedge trimmers. All metalwork is intact.
