Logged whilst walking "The Copper Trail" - 65 mile route around Bodmin Moor. On last few miles walk into Bodmin and was knackered. Field to left of boundary wall where gate is accessible into the field was populated with cows. Didn't get up close to the trig point because of them - hey! there were more of them than me and I had just walked 13 miles!

We parked near the entrance to the farm road and walked down to the trig. I think this road must be a public right of way as there is a footpath which ends up at Racecourse Farm and the only way to get there would be via this road, it being impossible to cross the A30. The trig is on the top of the bank with the FB facing north - there's a gate which gives access to the field. The trig is overgrown but I climbed onto the bank and discovered a plug with heavily indented lettering.

The first of 12 trigs visited during a business trip to Cornwall. The meeting lasted 90 minutes - bargain! It was a filthy morning though, with next to no vis and persistent heavy drizzle. Bumped into the farmer's wife whilst lingering on her 800 metre long drive, who wanted to know (with a very nice smile) what on earth I was up to. Happy with my response she left me to photograph this uninspiring trig from my car - too wet to get out and bag the FB number!

A dismally damp day - taken from the car window!

Well, I visited. Autoroute said it was on one side of the dual carriageway, I stopped and I could see it on the south side of the dual carriageway at the top of the cutting. I couldn't reach it.
