Rode and pushed our bikes up track from SE as far as where it crosses grid line 29. Easy walk to top from there. Visiting as historic county top of Nairnshire. Descent was a whizz!

Parked at woodland entrance near to track for Auchterteang. Followed tracks as previous visitors. New fence on top of hill has almost reached trig.

Walked up the track. Some lads were putting up a new fence on top but they abandoned the work due to the weather and headed down. Horizontal heavy rain.

Log #72 - "Hill of the green corries". Parked at Auchterteang (NH 924 265), then followed path all the way up. The grouse track extends much further than is mapped, potentially as far as NH 892 293. From the path, I cut across SW across the moss and peat to the pillar. Great views in all directions: Cairngorms are clearly visible, as are the wind-farms at the Garbole (west) and towards Knockando (east). Pillar is in good condition, despite the missing cap. There is a stone wall surround the western side of the pillar along with a nearby cairn. Cracking walk, highly recommended. [ExP-69/MiP-0/BM-3]

Came in from the east crossing over the gorge on Creag na h-lolaire. Good walk up. A lot of showers on route when was supposed to be a lovely day but nothing new there. Good views looking towards Carrbridge.

vgc, no cap or plug, windswept snowy plateau with a nice view. Did it the hard way, from WNW, Balvraid (lodge being renovated), to take in the 635m Graham Top (and LR27 highpoint!). Heavy going with snow mostly not firm enough for easy walking.

Walked up from the road by Auchterteang. Good track that is cyclable at least half the way, and possible by Bike all the way. Locked gate at the farm that would have to be carried over.

Allymac, please see my comment for flush bracket G1199 on http://www.bench-marks.org.uk/. Estate track most of the way to the top, then a soggy excursion in and out of peat except on the very top. S7211 in very good condition. The spider centre is open. LHS sighting hole open, others plugged. FB faces NNW. Secondary station in Block NJ06, Nairn. Built 19th June 1953. Photographed 7/09/2006, GRP.

Normal pillar on a boggy summit, visited on not too good a day. Not enough snow for skiing and a slog of a walk. Somebody is measuring wind speeds up here, beware of windfarms in the future.
