Drove up the first part of the wind farm access road but the gates were padlocked at Berryburn. Plenty of room to park. Followed a combination of the marked track and the turbine access roads to a point to the north of the trig. Last bit was over rough heather and soft snow. Fantastic 360 view.

P134. Gate was opened so followed a series of tracks to turbine no 6, then hoofed it uphill to the trig. Spooked some grouse which always freak me out, especially when there is a must like this.

Log #145. There is a honking great new wind farm at Berryburn which was built last summer. It's possible to drive all the way to within around 750m of the pillar, by parking at Turbine #6 (which I did). A crude map is available at Headed more or less in a straight line southwards up the hill to the pillar. Much like Auchnahannet (TP0931), there is a fence terminating in an acute angle right next to the pillar. The trig is in good condition and still features the indented cap. The heavens erupted on my way back down, and I took shelter in the car for a while. [ExP-130/MiP-2/Rev-2/BM-10/Other-1]

View SE. The wind farm at Roy's Hill, and Ben Rinnes in the distance.

vgc, metal cap, deep letters. Heathery summit, trig beside old fencepost and boundary stone with D and K on opposite faces. Wind farm nearby to NE. From NW: farmer reckoned I could probably drive to Berryburn - which I did:-) This gave me time to bag the P30 and the HuMP Larig Hill before heading to Ben Aigan for Alan Dawsons last mainland Marilyn.

Well, a long walk in to this one. Approached from N.E. GPS showed 15.4 miles there and back! Last mile was over heather and peat bog, hard going. Good views to the North.

The trig and FB Nice day, good views!
