Well, this one took a lot longer than expected but nevertheless a pleasant experience. I had parked in New Arley at the end of Frederick Road expecting to get a good view from the footpath that runs east. Unfortunately the hedge blocked all views. I went up onto Fir Tree Lane and got a photo from there but as I was there I saw a farmer in the field. I waited for him to drive down to the gate and asked if it was OK to walk up to the top of the hill. Half an hour later after a nice conversation about all sorts of things I was granted permission. Having got to the top of the hill covered in lush grass I can see that the best views of the hill are probably from the car park of Jacksons, the camping and caravan shop in the village.
