Walked in from Boblainy forest, 20km in total. Area feels amazingly remote. A dusting of snow made the ground firmer to walk on but the path was very wet. Left the path and onto the heathery hillside just north of Lochan an tairt and up the north shoulder. Pillar in good condition.

Parked beside a brown fence up the minor road opposite Kilmartin Hall. Followed the marked track away into the hills and passed Lochan an Tairt. Lots of snow around. Eventually came to a padlocked gate and carried on another 1/2 km before turning left and negotiating a flat boggy bit. The mist was hiding the hill but a couple of bearings saw me on top. Very deep floundery heather mixed with soft snow. Trig was plastered in snow which I had to rub away to expose the FB. Spider centre now missing. Mist cleared on the way down to give extensive views.

Walk up from the pub at Kilmartin through the forestry to the trig unfortunately views very limited due to the mist rolling in from the NE. Returned via the new track to the East that runs down to Uppertown

vgc, metal cap, deep letters. Just below highest summit rocks. Fine rough heathery hill, fine view, cloud inversion at 300m. Took track from Balnaglaic although another more convenient-looking track noted coming from due S, not on my 50k map.
