An interesting location. The pillbox is partly buried so access to the roof is easy. The rivet is in a mass (OS say asphalt disc) added later to the roof so I'm not sure how secure it is. There are witness rivets on all four corners with score marks from the witness marks to the main mark. There is an open hatch with ladder down into the pillbox, which I didn't explore, plus some other passages now exposed.

Pillbox is still there in the maize crop. There is a witness mark in each corner and a rivet and stud on asphalt in the middle of the pillbox roof and the roof concrete is scored from corner to find the exact centre. Has to be the bag of the weekend.

GR is in the middle of a tall maize field, on top a raised piece of ground. Maize too tall to see it if its still in there and too thick to fight through. A job for a revisit in the winter if passing.
Gallow Hill Pillbox in there
