From Aberlemno to the east, via the Hill of Finavon road and along the top of the hill, avoiding cattle and electric fences en-route. Pillar in high point of field full of cattle, near the reservoir.

Second visit. For GPS reading and photographs. SITE VISIT: Approached from northwest. Good sized layby on SE side of A90 at NO465544. Followed mapped field boundaries to pick up track at NO468541, heading easwards to Baggerton Reservoir perimeter and SE to trig. Grazing top. Pillar in excellent condition. Spider retains original OS centre cap with deep indented letters. Flush bracket faces ENE, ~77. Vented through SE sight hole. Distant views lost to fog on day of visit.
