Parked in nearby wide farm drive entrance, but could have parked right next to trig in field entrance. Didn't need to get jnto field for this one, it's right next to fence. Third of three on way to Manchester Airport. Itchy.

Parked up by the FP Sign at Castle Hill Farm and simply walked along to the field gate and hopped over into the field. Moderate views and the constant noise of Manchester Airport. Planes taking off all the time with people jetting away for their summer hols. Beer in The Church Inn at Mobberley afterwards.

As said by others, it is in a private field but close to the fence to be able to get good images. I was a bit naughty and climbed the gate for a quick snap. I don't feel guilty, trespassing can be a lot more serious than what I did.

There are 13 Castle Hill trig points , 9 of them pillars, but I can't imagine any of them being such a misnomer as this one. It's main attribute is as a viewing point for the airport..At least it took my mind off dropping off NZ based son as he jets back to the Antipodes.

Arrived ar Manchester Airport in the middle of rush hour so this was an ideal opportunity to do a bit of trigging and let the traffic clear. They don't get much easier than this one.

First of two trigs on way to Manchester to pick son up on return from Spain. Took winding roads from A538, spotted trig in the field near to electricity pylons. Trig in ok condition, no views to rave about though top of airport control tower could be seen.

Just off the road and over the fence in a gateway. Uninspiring unless compared to my two previous Trigs of the day. Was challenged by two horsey people who became utterly bemused when I told them what I was doing. One of them thought I wanted to take the pillar away! Odd.

A small bonus trig as I realised the road wen under the runway first left after the tunnels on the Altringham road from Harrisons Pit and keep going. Park in the farm entrance on the corner and hop the gate nice and easy
