Seems like the whole area has been levelled. Inaccessible at present anyway.

Parked outside Fitzalan High School and walked up the side of the river from there till I found my way blocked 150 meters short of the given grid reference. There is a lot of construction work going on and the area is currently fenced off with even some Himalayan Balsam for added protection. I believe there are plans to extend the Ely Cycleway up this side of the river bank, probably as part of the ongoing construction project. Must revisit when it is all finished. May be even the bolt will have reappeared. Yes, only dreaming.
