Parked at Kiln Bank Cross and ascended Caw from quarry north. Great position for the trig with great views. Nice weather. Afterwards walked back to pass and bagged Stickle Pike, Tarn Hill and Great Stickle (trig). A few people about. Later that day visited Whitfell trig.

From Broughton Mills on a round of a dozen hills on an extended walk horseshoeing around Dunnerdale Beck. Pillar sits on the rocky summit of this 529m hill. There's a horizontal fracture running across the rear face; centre cap has gone, replaced with a mortar plug; rear sight hole plugged, other 3 open. Extensive panoramic views.

A beautiful rugged hill, anywhere else it would be heaving but it's got some pretty stiff competition. Over White Maiden, getting just a bit windy, lone shower out to sea a glorious gold light hitting the rock as we approach the wonderfully named Fairy Ark.

Walked up from The Hawk parking. Glad to have bagged this one after failing last year coming from a different angle. Absolutely fab views today. Very very windy, had to hold on to the pillar so I didn’t get blown off. Best trig pillar I’ve found to date.

Walked up from Seathwaite with P61 and Brunshaw, amazing views fantastic summit.Off down to The Newfield Inn via Pikes & Green Pikes,for a quick pint before heading off to Broughton-in-Furnace to watch second half of England game in The Black Cock Inn.

Revisit for me whist mopping up a few remaining outlying fells great views.This is one of my favorite lakes fells but it was very difficult to climb in the heat today.

Low mist and poor visibility made scoring this trig difficult, but it was very quiet up there, and the path from the Caw slate quarry/mine indistinct -which suggests that this is a nice quiet place. The old Caw slate mine is worth a look in if you take a torch. The entrance has a little surface water but it soon opens up into a much larger area, which is safe to explore.

Beautiful day and a gentle walk to the top via the Park Head Road. Disappointed to see two off-road scramblers with motor bikes on the summit as I approached but who disappeared quickly on seeing me.

Revisit. Overall approach from southwest. Parking for several cars off high point in road, Kiln Bank Cross, SD214932. Followed mapped RoW network to junction below Goat Crag, SD222943, then random route up through rocks to top. Grazing summit within LDNP. Pillar in good condition. Spider centre plugged with tar. Flush bracket faces ENE, compass measurement 59°. All sight holes open, innards filled with debris. Full 360° panoramic view.

Parked in the little car park at "The Hawk" just where the road crosses the beck - nice walk up through the forest to Stephenson Ground, headed up a reasonably worn footpath which takes you to the base of the Fell (Wainwright outlying fell). The views from the trig pillar across the Duddon valley to the Lakeland Fells simply stunning. What a place to sit and have lunch

Walked from Stephenson Ground via Pikes before descending to Long Mire & following the path back to Stephenson Ground. Great viewpoint, especially the snow capped Coniston range. Very wet under foot,with frozen snow on the North side.

Delightful hill, quiet, very rocky area, superb viewpoint. With blue-grey trig stood on rock ridge and visible from miles away. Built with coarse concrete. Cement type plug.

First of day parked at the tiny hamlet of stephensons land followed bridleway then paths to top.Wind was raging today had to be carefull near the trig very greasy rocks nearly blown over twice.Trig in good condition plug misssing painted in light blue gloss,magnificent views from here,walked on to the pikes as in wainwrights outlying fells.

A super walk up from the roadside parking spaces at Kiln Bank Cross. We skirted around the bottom of Caw until we were a little further round than the unclimbable Goat Crag face, then headed straight up. Pretty tiring on the legs, but the view of Harter Fell and the distant Scafells from the top was worth it! Nice sea views to the south and west too. The top was savagely windy though (one guy, posing for a photo beside the trig, was actually blown over and took a tumble!!!)

Bagged on a walk from Coniston to Harter Fell and back. Wanted to bag this for a while so glad to do so; good views and nice to get away from the crowds. Never come across a grey pillar before, and it has obviously been painted since Clanfield Rambler visited just over a year ago. I will upload a photo if possible.

Approached from NW, Seathwaite. Visited to record FB number. The pillar was completed in June 1949 costing £33.16s.2d. In 1950 this marker was computed for triangulation as tertiary station SD47/T13 in the Barrow-in-Furness secondary block. Flush bracket S5586 was levelled for height also in 1950. This trig point was last maintained by the OS in August 1977. Spider centre plugged. No photos taken.
