Walked up from the entrance of Stoke Park Estate on Frenchay Park Road. A scrubby area north-east of the telecoms tower was the location of the water tower. Great views south-east and south.

OS records the Bolt destroyed February 1952. There is now no trace of a water tower. Very muddy track approaching from SW.
