Quick visit despite the Non firing day as the lads were all in the undergrowth so didn't hang about. Trig painted just took a quick snap will return another day to get more pics! Off to Brecon next for Lunch!

From Upper Chapel, lanes then a strip of rough land to moorland. Next to red flag. Tilting and mossy. Excellent views over Epynt

Parked near the road junction to the SE then used a damp track of sorts plus gates to gain trig and summit.

Very muddy for the penultimate hill of the day and you should have seen the state of us when we rolled into Wetherspoons in Brecon an hour or so later.

Parked at field ent to SE (SN 9991 3954). Farm track to MoD boundary then over good ground to trig, sitting next to a raggedy warning flag. Pillar is leaning thus damaged. Original top cap retained, deeply indented lettering; rear sight hole open. Misty panoramic views.

Walked up from Tyrbach Bridge along Epynt way which is open most of the time even when red flags flying. Pillar is just a few feet of the bridleway. Pillar in good condition but very mossy, metal plug. It is slightly leaning and base is becoming exposed.

Parked in gate entrance to access land SE of trig. Advertised as non-firing day but red flags flying. Walked up the track through the access land then on to the triggers footpath to the pillar.

Having ignored the perimeter track previously the followers of the local hunt gave me the excuse to trust my sat nav so only a 250m walk good viewpoint in better weather but not too stunning today

Deserves a 7 for interest,about 250m inside Eppynt firing range.All quiet for xmas but R.O.W seem to fall short of the pillar.Approached from SE from minor road junction.Good extensive views.pillar in good shape.

vgc, metal cap deep letters, just inside MoD Danger Zone - Access:cross pasture from gate to E, park just to its N, ascent line unseen until trig, flag pole adjacent
