Thought this would be an easy one. Managed to park at ST 10118 00394 but couldn’t see a way through the hedge. Luckily my pal spotted a gap (ST 10218 00367) but getting through it wasn’t easy due to nettles and Hawthorne hedge, my friend had to woman handle my legs and feet over as there just wasn't enough space to get your leg up high enough, also once over the wee metal gate you had to get over an electric 'net', not easy, then you are in full view of the house whilst you walk to the trig itself, tough one for me!

Roadside parking to SE. Pillar retains original top cap, indented lettering; rear sight hole open. Good views all directions other than SE where hedgerow obscures.

Assumed pillar would be in water works enclosure so once I reached this point I could see it was in field outside. O well I've done that before.

Found it after a hunt in the wrong direction. There is a small gate about 100m from the entrance to the reservoir however it's 'down' the road depending from which direction you start! Head north west from the entrance of the reservoir.

I've got news, the farm people are friendly!! They were just laying out an electric fence to pen in some sheep as I arrived, so I was just in time to ask permission and leg it over the field to inspect the TP (I explained that it was a bit like trainspotting!). A quick stop to snap some piccies and away. Nearest pub is The Greyhound in Fenny Bridges, just the other side of a viaduct that the A30 used to cross, before the fast new one was built!

We parked at the entrance to the reservoir which isn't shown on our 1977 Explorer. The trig is past the reservoir in the field nearest the road. You're in full view of the farm but only for a few minutes. Plug with indented lettering.

Its outside the reservoir fence. Illustrates the danger of trig bagging. I was climbing back over gate by road and jumped down - two halves of the gate came together with the end of one of my fingers between them. Ooh that smarts.
