Now Milford Hospital - opened 1929 and variously a sanatorium and isolation hospital, before becoming a specialist centre for the elderly and rehabilitation. Following a successful planning app in 2013 the vast majority of the site (except the small remaining active hospital premises) is now being demolished for a housing development. Early plans suggested that the tower may be saved, but there was no sign of it today, looks like it is gone (perhaps not surprising given that pics of it on tinternet suggest it was of very limited architectural merit). Interesting, tinternet suggests this hospital was the birthplace of british sitcom, as the writers of Hancock and Steptoe met here whilst TB patients in the 1950s.
