Parking by the footpath to the W then over gate into field, no sign of cattle initially, as i approached the summit, there they were!! luckily on the far side of the field, so i managed to stay out of sight behind the pillar and get right up to it. Pillar good condition, nice little hill.

Looked easy on the map lol. Parked up the road in a farm entrance. Walked down there busy road and spotted a way up through the the hedge to the field. Then over a collapsed fence and under a barbed wire one, to be greated by the herd of cows, who were easily shooed off and the trig was bagged. Chucking it down by now and the collapsed fence attacked me on the way back and I ended up with a nice gash on my leg!

Easter monday day out with 'Head Office' to Market Harborough and had to bag a trig. Easy to find after parking near new entrance to footpath adjacent to housing estate on Kettering Road. Surprisingly good views of the town and surrounding area. Trig surrounded by old 'ridge and furrow' ploughing pattern.

Quite surprised to see that this pillar hasn't been visited often. Access is easy, just off a public footpath.I parked at the start of the path. Cows in the field, including one big man-cow, but all ignored me. Good view back over the town, but breezy enough up here today to make it difficult to stand near the trig. Watched a heron take off from the pond below and try to make headway into the wind, only to see it forced to turn and fly off in the opposite direction.

There are good views from here over Market Harborough. I should have done the same as wrose, but instead I got through the hedge much nearer the A6 junction, and ripped my trousers on barbed wire as I got out again.

Easy access and highly visible being in field with public footpath so only needs a slight detour to reach it. I parked in the adjacent newish housing estate and then just walked up the main road to the footpath entry. Stands on a bit of a headland with extensive views over the nearby conurbation of Market Harborough
