Parked on Clammer Hill Road and approached the pillar from the west. Not sure why the pillar has the decking round it. Overall a nice spot.

Coming down the BW from Hindhead was rather hard work. Very bumpy. Went through Haslemere and along A286 before turning off to go up Grayswood hill. I saw loads of people walking to catch the train to work. This is def commuter belt. Parked bike by gate with unfriendly sign on it, opposite FP. Climbed over gate and followed track up hill. Past a place where someone had burnt garden trimmings and there were tools there. No one was about so continued up hill. Through a very loose barbwire fence and strolled up hill to trig. It has decking put round it. This would make taking a picture of the FB difficult but my phone fitted through it. Good views. Quick retreat the way I had come as I didnt want to come across any locals.

As previous logger. Trig is exposed to the house but can be photographed from the E side without exposure, but for the spider and FB... you just have to go for it! Original cap in place, deeply indented lettering; FB can be photographed OK under the decking. didn't check out the sight holes. Prominent little hill with limited 360deg views.

Same approach as others, off bridleway, through wood, up the hill to pillar. Tried at the house to ask permission but despite three cars on drive no reply. Interesting use of pillar with the decking, nice views but didn't linger.

I parked in the lane to the west and walked along the bridleway, then through the woods and over a couple of fields to this one. This is on private land, the owner arrived walking the dog as I was taking my pictures, she was satisfied with my explanation of my visit, she explained they bought the house particularly because of the hill and the great views, the platform was placed around the pillar to enable seating and picnics to be enjoyed, great location. Please request permission to visit.

As previously mentioned access is a bit tricky. We parked to the south west at the end of three gates lane, took the bridle path west then made our way up through the wood and across a field before hitting a dense hedgeline with a faint path running through it. This involved a bit of bramble bashing and barbed wire crossing. Once you're in the field with the trig it's easy. You are only in view from the house at the actual summit. Good views and wooden decking around the pillar - for picnics presumably. FB faces west, plug with heavily indented lettering.

Tjis pillar is quite hard to access, being stuck in a private field behind a house. When i managed to reach it I was surprised to find that a wooden platform a foot high surrounded the pillar. This made it hard to read the flush bracket number, but I eventually managed to read it by photographing under the planking. There are some reasonable views from here, but yet again trees restrict the vires somewhat.
